Description: Our very own town house project with an ambitious brief. An old run down double brick Edwardian house in West Footscray was demolished to make way for two brand new modern townhouses. Inspired by the warehouses and factories of West Footscray , pitched roofs, exposed brick and recycled materials feature throughout. Any material from demolition that could be salvaged was reused including 20,000 hand cleaned red bricks, 100 year old floorboards, roof rafters and studs, and joists. A great exercise in seeing what could be done on a tight site, each townhouse has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a powder room and a large large with mezzanine storage area to the rear. One of a kind these townhouses feel generous and spacious and feature native gardens, natural materials and sharp attention to detail.
